School Site Council Meetings information

All meetings held in the months of August to December will be online in zoom virtual meetings. These meetings will be recorded. 

School Site council meetings are open to all parents of Sunset Elementary students. If you wish to become a member of the School Site Council of Sunset Elementary please feel free to email rholmes@hlpusd.k12.ca.us. Members of our School Site Council are nominated and self nominated from our group of parents who have children currently enrolled in Sunset Elementary school. All members of SSC are voting members who have an active role in monitoring school programs and in shared decision making for our school.

ELAC - English Learner Advisory Committee

Just like with School Site Council these meetings will also be held online until we return to school after the Winter Break.

 

Only parents of students whose second language is English are eligible to be members of ELAC. This advisory committee reviews school programs for effectiveness and makes recommendations to the School Site council. 

Members are nominated annually to serve on this committee throughout the year.

Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary are officer positions that are available each year for nomination. See the parent nomination letter on this webpage.

Our first ELAC meeting is Thursday Sep. 2 at 8:00am.
